Custom levels
Users linked to a partnership can have three different results: Placement test result, speaking test result and general result.
Each of these results handles three main rating values. Each result has a score (between 0 and 100), a CEFR level and a CEFR sub-level.
An organization may already have a scale defined with custom levels. Because of this, an organization can define the scale and levels it wants, to replace the CEFR levels and sub-levels that are used by default.
A different scale can be defined for each type of result. Therefore, an organization can define (for its partnerships) a specific scale for the placement test, another for the speaking test and another for the general result.
Custom scale
A custom scale must define ranges in order to convert the user's score (value between 0 and 100) into a level and a sub-level.
To apply the scale, it must be sent to the agent who manages the partnership.
An example of a custom scale would look like this:
Lower limit (exclusive) | Upper limit (inclusive) | Level | Sublevel |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 12.5 | Level 1 | Sublevel 1.1 |
12.5 | 25 | Level 1 | Sublevel 1.2 |
25 | 37.5 | Level 2 | Sublevel 2.1 |
37.5 | 50 | Level 2 | Sublevel 2.2 |
50 | 62.5 | Level 3 | Sublevel 3.1 |
62.5 | 75 | Level 3 | Sublevel 3.2 |
75 | 87.5 | Level 4 | Sublevel 4.1 |
87.5 | 100 | Level 4 | Sublevel 4.2 |
This table can be applied to the three types of results or define a different one for each result.
